Mean People Suck
Okay, I am sorry for the blog title...I can't help it. This guy calls me today at the office and wants me to pick up a refrigerator that "mysteriously" ended up next to his dumpster. I explained to him that we don't pick those up for free b/c they contain freon and we can't put freon in our landfill. It has to be evacuated by a licensed technician and we charge $50. 00 to do this. He was not happy with me and said, "I hope that one day your grandchild gets stuck in one of those fridges and dies." Can you believe that? I asked him if our GM (Justin) could call him back to discuss this. He said no. So, after instantly bursting into tears I made my boss/husband call him and give him a piece of his mind. I love caller ID!!!! Justin called him back and asked him how he could even think of something like that, much less say it! Justin also told him that by saying that, it showed exactly the type of person he was. At the end of the conversation, that mean man said, "Tell that little girl I am sorry." I'll show you little girl, buster! I was still upset, but Justin's call helped me some. I get so frustrated at times b/c my last job was nothing like this! My boss/husband keeps telling me that this is all going to be worth it one day. I keep remind myself of this!!!

awww Im so sorry - i hate it when people are just mean and rude. it happens to Pastor's wives too - just so you know - you aren't alone. How sweet of your husband to defend you.
i think one of the worst things i deal with is people demeaning me over the phone at work! it takes EVERYTHING within me to not jump down their throats screaming the worst words in the WORLD to let them have it. somehow my work still thinks i handle my clients very well. little do that know what is going through my mind......
oh a GOOD note, i am so excited for your cruise! can't wait to see your pics. have a great time. love you.
Yuck! So sorry to hear that. I don't know why people think it's ok to say things over the phone that they would never dream of saying to your face.
