He's Here!!!

Baby David Anthony Stewart III was born this morning at 9:19am. He is 7 pounds, 6 ounces and 18 ounces long. I talked to my sister and she sounded great! They took her back at 9:02 and he was born at 9:19. She said he had lots of dark hair and screamed when he came out! As soon as I get some pictures, I will post them. The new big sister gets to meet him this afternoon after her nap. I'll let you all know how that goes. She has no idea that her world has totally changed. I leave Friday morning to go help for a week. I can't wait!

Happy Early Thanksgiving

Justin and I had lunch for the guys today at the office. It was so good. We had turkey, ham, green beans, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, dressing, gravy, cranberry compote, rolls, pumpkin pie, and pecan pie. I had the guys convinced for about 5 seconds that I cooked everything. I love Thanksgiving. It's my favorite Holiday. Everyone gets together and just eats. I love it!!!!

One Man's Trash.....

Someone threw away a refrigerator and put a sign on the outside saying, "Still Works." Justin brought it to the shop and said we were going to use it. I thought that thing is so disgusting and it will never look good. Justin asked me to clean it up and I said okay like any good administrative assistant would! After a few hours, a bottle of clorox cleanup, one majic eraser, one scotch brite pad, and 1.5 rolls of paper towels, it was finished! Look at the pictures. I am proud of my little clean-up job. I already put in my Diet Dr. Pepper!

This is my life!!!

Justin just sent me this email. This is my life!!!

HER DIARY_:

Tonight: I thought my husband was acting weird. We had made plans to

meet at a bar to have a drink. I was shopping with my friends all day

long, so I thought he was upset at the fact that I was a bit late, but

he made no comment on it. Conversation wasn't flowing, so I suggested

that we go somewhere quiet so we could talk. He agreed, but he didn't

say much. I asked him what was wrong; he said, "Nothing." I asked him

if it was my fault that he was upset. He said he wasn't upset, that it

had nothing to do with me, and not to worry about it. On the way home, I

told him that I loved him. He smiled slightly, and kept driving. I

can't explain his behavior. I don't know why he didn't say, "I love you,

too." When we got home, I felt as if I had lost him completely, as if

he wanted nothing to do with me anymore. He just sat there quietly, and

watched TV. He continued to seem distant and absent. Finally, with

silence all around us, I decided to go to bed. About 15 minutes later,

he came to bed. To my surprise, he responded to my caress, and we made

love. But I still felt that he was distracted, and his thoughts were

somewhere else. He fell asleep - I cried. I don't know what to do. I'm

almost sure that his thoughts are with someone else.

My life is a disaster.

_HIS DIARY:_

Missed a big deer today, but at least I got laid.

Christmas is in the air!

Can you believe that Christmas is almost here? My friends and family have all started to decorate their homes for Christmas. I will be decorating mine on Thanksgiving day. I can't wait. This is my favorite time of year. I got in the Christmas spirit yesterday when I got a manicure. I got my new favorite shade of red by OPI--it's called Vodka & Caviar. Then I got a red glitter top coat. It looks fantastic. It's so festive!!! Justin saw it and said, "You look like a 3 year old. How's your easy bake oven doing?" I wish he would realize what looks good!!!

I know you've all been waiting!

Here they are. Isn't she the cutest thing ever. I hate it when the day comes and she figures out she is a dog!

All Points Bulletin-Cancelled

Okay, I just put out an all points bulletin but it's now cancelled. For about 5 minutes, Bootsie's halloween costume went missing. Please don't worry any longer, I found it in my closet. At first I thought Justin was hiding it from me, but he swore on our love that he didn't. I am so glad it's back in my arms. Just wait until you see the picture tomorrow. You will die!

A Perfect Match

I found new bedding for our bed this past weekend. Justin and I went to Haverty's Furniture this weekend just to "look around." When we walked in, they had this bedding on our furniture that is in our master bedroom. And, it was 20% off. I was so excited. Also, it came with a dust ruffle but you couldn't see it because our side rails hide it. So Justin says, "We should make curtains out of the matching dust ruffle." I was floored. He is turning into a Branham :) I told him he should have his own show on HGTV!

A Good Replacement

I have really missed The Sopranos. I hated the ending, but I still loved the show. My new replacement show is Cane on CBS. It is all about the family business just like Sopranos was. Instead of being in the garbage business, this family is in the sugar cane business. It takes place in south Florida and the scenery is beautiful. Everyone should tune in and watch it on Tuesday nights. You won't be disappointed.

Something isn't right

Did anyone watch DWTS tonight? Did you see the co-host, Samantha Harris? She just had a baby three weeks ago!!! Something is not right about that.

Busy, Busy, Busy!

I have been so busy lately. It's INSANE!!! I looked at my calender this morning and I was in shock. October is half way over! Where in the heck did this month go? It's only 5 weeks until Thanksgiving. My sister has her little boy in 6 1/2 weeks and Christmas will be right after that. Can you believe it?

It seems like the business has been growing like crazy. We sold 5 roll off (big construction boxes) accounts just last week. We usually only sell 5 a month. I am so excited about trash!!! Who would have ever thought? We also have been selling the heck out of commercial accounts (for weekly trash pickup) for businesses that are outside the city limits of Alpine. I am thrilled.

I got a stomach bug on Sunday and stayed in bed all day. And no, I am not pregnant!!! I slept all day and all night. It was so nice to get some much needed rest.

I hope everyone has a great week. Only 69 shopping days until Christmas!!!

p.s. I have to brag on Justin...he has lost 39 pounds. I am so proud of him. I swear he is going to waste away to nothing....

Happy Bosses Day!

Did you know that today is bosses day? I was shocked to find that out! My Boss was out of the office today but I thought I would write about him anyway. I have to admit that I have one of the coolest bosses around. He's very easy to work for and always puts up with my mood swings! He knows how to say things in a nice way and doesn't easily offend me. I know that I get frustrated with him at times, but I wouldn't trade him or my job for the world. It can be hard work and frustrating at times, but it's so worth it at the end of the day when you realize what you have done. I love working with him!!!

Just in case you didn't know it, my boss is also my husband. I was a little worried when I was asked to work with him, but it has been the best thing for us. I can't imagine doing this with anyone else.

My sister and her husband work together. She told me one key piece of advice before I moved. She said, "Just remember that he is the boss at work and you are the boss at home!" I love that quote. Delilah also gave me another piece of advice that was great. She said, "If you get in a fight at work, leave it at work. If you get in a fight at home, leave it at home. Don't ever mix the two." She really is wise. I guess that's one of the reasons God gave us big sisters.

HAPP BOSSES DAY, JUSTIN!!!!

Finding old friends...

I reconnected with one of my friends yesterday. We grew up together in Kentucky. I found her on Myspace. She seems to be doing great. I am going to Kentucky in February and I plan on visiting her. She will either be way pregnant or just have had her baby. It will be great to see her. I have to admit that when she was talking about being 26, I was in shock. I still see her as my 17 year old friend that I used to "roll" with! We had many fun times together! I could go on and on with all the crazy stories.

I love technology!

I have to say that I am totally in love with my new blackberry! I really don't know how I have lived without one! I am posting this blog from my phone while my husband is driving ninety to nothing. I love this thing!!!

So you had a bad day?

I should have known that I was going to have a bad when I got pulled over this morning on my way to work. He pulled me over for having only 1 headlight that works. He gave me a "verbal warning" and sent me on my merry way. The day got progressivly worse. The only good thing was that I got to deliver meals on wheels at lunch. I do this on Thursdays during my lunch and it really is cool. The people that I deliver to are so nice. I am really getting to know them. One man that I deliver to was out on his porch and not inside. He told me he liked my "fancy car." It was neat to see him out enjoying the weather.

So, to make my day better, I got a happy meal on McDonald's. This was totally not on my diet...but I really don't care. I am going to go on a walk now and try to "walk off" my frustrations.

Thanks for letting me vent!!!

I just heard

I just heard on DWTS that they will have 3 episodes this week. Tonight the ladies go, tomorrow the guys, and Wednesday is the result show. I am so excited. My week is looking better already!!!

Sunday, September 23, 2007

I love this week!

I am so excited about this week. Tonight I will watch Desperate Housewives. Monday I will watch DWTS (dancing w/the stars). Tuesday I will watch Cane. Wednesday I will watch the DWTS result show. Thursday it will be The Office and Grey's Anatomy. THEY ARE ALL NEW EPISODES AND I CAN'T WAIT!!!

Okay, maybe I am a little addicted to the television. At least it's not drugs, booze, or cigarettes.

The cactus capitol of the world

Did you know that Sanderson, Texas is the "cactus capitol of the world?" We just got the contract to haul their trash and it begins October 1st. Justin and I are super excited. I had never been to Sanderson, but I got to go today. It's a little over an hour from our house in Alpine. Justin and I worked on cans so that they can be put out on Thursday. He used the "spider" (fancy forklift) to put them in neat rows so that they can have the serial numbers painted on and I took off the stickers that were from Roll-Off USA. I swear I saw that stinking sticker over 100 times and I now have their phone number memorized. I even put on a pair of work gloves b/c I was messing up my new manicure!!! At one point when I was sweating profusely I said, "Justin I feel like I am in the desert." He replies, "Uh...you are." Oh yeah, I forgot that we live next to the desert of Texas. Later Justin said, "Remember where we were two weeks ago at this time (getting on the cruise ship)?" I said, "It doesn't matter where I am, as long as we are together." His reply was, "I just threw up in my mouth."

We got home just a little bit ago and I can't wait to lay down. It's only 7:15pm and I am wiped out. I have a whole new appreciation for people who work outside all day, every day.

Shoutout to Delilah

I just got off the phone with my sister. She can't believe that I have a blog. She asked me what I wrote about and I told her it was like my own little diary for the world to see. She thinks I am crazy. I told her that she will love reading my diary and will soon have one of her own! I also explained to her that we all read each others blogs. It's a way to keep up on everyone's life. She makes fun of me now, but soon she will be eating her words!!!

I'm ready

I am officially ready for vacation to start. I will be waking up at 3:30am on Sunday and going to the airport at 4am. We will be in Puerto Rico at 2:10. I can't wait. I bought a new book and I have my swimsuit in my carry on bag so that I can go straight to the pool. I will post pictures when we get back. I hope everyone has a safe and happy week.

Talk with you soon!

Mean People Suck

Okay, I am sorry for the blog title...I can't help it. This guy calls me today at the office and wants me to pick up a refrigerator that "mysteriously" ended up next to his dumpster. I explained to him that we don't pick those up for free b/c they contain freon and we can't put freon in our landfill. It has to be evacuated by a licensed technician and we charge $50. 00 to do this. He was not happy with me and said, "I hope that one day your grandchild gets stuck in one of those fridges and dies." Can you believe that? I asked him if our GM (Justin) could call him back to discuss this. He said no. So, after instantly bursting into tears I made my boss/husband call him and give him a piece of his mind. I love caller ID!!!! Justin called him back and asked him how he could even think of something like that, much less say it! Justin also told him that by saying that, it showed exactly the type of person he was. At the end of the conversation, that mean man said, "Tell that little girl I am sorry." I'll show you little girl, buster! I was still upset, but Justin's call helped me some. I get so frustrated at times b/c my last job was nothing like this! My boss/husband keeps telling me that this is all going to be worth it one day. I keep remind myself of this!!!

I feel better

I am feeling much better. I went to the doctor today and she said it was allergies. I got some nose spray and I feel better already. I am currently doing laundry and getting ready to pack for VACATION!!!! I am starting to get really excited. Justin and I got all our clothes out the other night and tried them on for each other. I got the cutest shirt at Nordstom the other day for our cruise. He hated it and told me that it looked like something his mother wore in the 80's. I told him it was in style.

Thursday Morning

I now feel really bad and have scheduled an appointment for tomorrow morning at 9:00am. Hopefully, the nurse practitioner will feel the same way I do about penicillin shots. I'll let you know how it goes....

The best dessert ever!!!

I was having a really bad day until I went to Dairy Queen and asked them if they could make me a blizzard with Nerds that I had bought at the store. The lady behind the counter replied, "That is the best blizzard ever!" I was so excited to hear her say that. Also, she only charged me for a small ice cream cone. I was so pumped! I have a feeling that I will be going back there in the near future.

I also woke up this morning with a sore throat. Now, my nose is stopped up and my head hurts. I am hoping that it's just allergies and I will feel better tomorrow morning. I took my Emergen-C. If I feel bad tomorrow, I am going straight to the doctor and asking for a penicillin shot in the you know where. I have got to be feeling better for vacation. Only 4 days left and I will be sailing the Caribbean. I can't wait.

It's Official

Okay...it's official that I am in a horrible mood today. I am not sure why. My head is killing me because I am trying to give up Diet Dr. Pepper. I heard a story on the radio that if you drink sodas everyday, you are holding onto 10 extra pounds. I am going to give them up and see how it goes. I'll let you know how it goes......if my head doesn't explode first!!!!

I Feel Great!

My appointment with the chiropractor was awesome. He put some electrodes on my back and hips. It was so relaxing...I even fell asleep. Then, he came in and did some adjustments. My left leg feels so much better. I think I could run 100 miles tonight. Actually, I probably couldn't. He did tell me it was okay to continue running, but to lay off the hills. That will not be a problem at all. Honestly, the only odd part of the whole appointment was that the chiropractor was my age. All of my previous doctors have always been older than me. Pretty soon I will be saying, "That doctor doesn't even look old enough to vote." My parents and grandparents always say that when they see a younger doctor.

I go back Thursday for some more adjustments, and then he said I should be all better! I was so excited to hear that. I am kind of upset with myself that I didn't go 9 months ago when I began hurting :) Oh well, live and learn.

Nervous...for no good reason at all!

Okay, I have to admit that I am really nervous about an appointment I have tomorrow. I am finally going to see a chiropractor. My left leg and hip has hurt every day for the past 8 months. Every since I started running a lot, something was not right with my leg. I have been way too hardheaded to go see anyone. I didn't want to go to the doctor, because I knew he would tell me to quit running. I am fully addicted to running and I enjoy eating! If I were to quit, I would have to buy new clothes, and that wouldn't be good. After talking with a few people in Alpine (that I trust), I decided that I will go see the chiropractor tomorrow afternoon. I am hoping that he will just pop my hip back into place. My hairstylist is a runner and she loves the man. She said you can go in for a quick adjustment and you will be good as new. I don't know why I am nervous. I think it's because I have never been to a chiropractor and I don't know what to expect. Hopefully this time tomorrow I will be feeling much better. I'll let you know.

Lost & Found

I received a bracelet from my previous boss for Christmas last year. It is called a Pandora bracelet and you can put charms on it. I have gotten charms from different people throughout the year and I love it. It means so much to me. A few weeks ago, I noticed that it was missing. I was going crazy...I tore my house apart multiple times looking for it. I prayed about it all the time and just wanted to find it. I am usually not a sentimental person, but this bracelet meant so much to me. Then, last Wednesday I was cleaning my closet...I found a purse with some stuff in it and decided to look for it one more time. I dumped everything out and didn't find it. I became sad and just wanted to cry. I then noticed a tiny whole in the lining of the purse. It was so small that my index finger wouldn't even fit in it. I felt around the lining and thought, is that my bracelet I feel? I ripped out the lining faster than you can say, "I'm glad this is a fake purse from Chinatown in NYC." I was so excited to see my bracelet! I cried tears of joy and then proceeded to call my whole family and tell them the good news. Thank God I found it. I have worn it every day since then!!!

Blackberry-My New Favorite Fruit

I decided to buy myself a birthday present. I got a Blackberry on Ebay and I absolutely love it. I have had it for only a few days and I am now wondering how I have lived 27 years without one. I can reply to emails instantly, chat on gmail, and talk on the phone! I love it so much. My sister is telling me that if I get hooked on this, she is going to have an intervention. We love that TV show and watch it all the time. It makes us feel so normal! My brother-in-law told me he would be worried if I started to put my blackberry in a ziploc and put it in the shower with me!!! I really don't think that will ever happen. Also, I used to make fun of Justin and his "crackberry"...guess I can't do that anymore!

I hope everyone is doing well. I haven't blogged in awhile, but I am going to be better. I promise!!!

Update from The Bluegrass State

I have had so much fun in Kentucky. My dad and I went to my hometown on Friday. It was really fun. Nothing has changed. It was like everything had been frozen in time for the last 9 years. We saw the old house and it looked great. I can't believe how little our street is. When I was a kid, I used to think it was the longest street in the world. Now, it seemed small. On Saturday, I left at 8:00am to visit one of my best friends, Andrea. We hung out all day. It was such a fun time. She is an amazing friend and I am really going to miss her. I met her boyfriend and he is great. I gave her my approval. She gets to go meet his family in New Jersey in a few weeks. I am really excited for her. We ran around town all day and laughed about old times.

Today my dad and I went to breakfast at an awesome restaurant that is always written up in Southern Living. We also went on a 2 hour walk this afternoon. We went all around downtown Louisville and to the river. They have a huge park and walking trails all down by the water. It's like town lake in Austin, but cooler. The weather was perfect.

I head back to the big city of Alpine tomorrow. I had such a good time these last few days, and I really don't want to leave. I have already planned my next trip for February. I can't wait.

Hope everyone had a great weekend. Talk with you soon!

A Fun Day in Kentucky

Today was my first day in Kentucky. My dad dropped me off at my new favorite store, Von Maur. Let me tell you, Nordstrom has nothing on this place. Dara S. had told me about it, and it was better than I could have ever imagined. I got some new clothes, shoes, and a purse. It was a successful morning. My dad took me to lunch at this really neat restaurant. They had fried pickles that were so yummy! We went to an amazing fabric store to find some fabric for a project that we are going to tackle on Sunday. It was 3 full floors of fabric! We went over to Indiana and went to Hobby Lobby and Kirklands. I found 2 more picture frames that I was looking for...Dara and Karina know what an ordeal I had trying to find them. Needless to say, I was so excited. My dad was such a trooper to go all over 2 different states for me.

Tomorrow we will be really busy. We are driving to the town where I was raised. I can't wait to see the house that I grew up in. If the people who bought it are in the yard, I am tempted to ask if I can come in and look around. We'll see how that goes.

Oh yeah, my sister is having a little boy!!! We are so excited. She is a little nervous because we are from a family of girls. It was just her and me growing up and we had a lot of girl cousins. She scheduled the c-section for December 4th. We will have a new baby at Christmas. I can't wait.

Hope everyone had a great day. I am ready for bed!

Lesson for the Day!

Today was a good day overall. I have a wonderful friend that I talked with a few times today. I was having a rough day at first but she really cheered me up and gave me a new outlook on some difficult issues I was dealing with. I learned a very important lesson today. It really doesn't matter how many friends you have. If you can have a friend that loves you no matter what and doesn't want to be your friend b/c of your family, the car you drive, or the material possessions you have, you should consider yourself lucky! You have to be able to lean on them no matter what. If they can't handle your friendship during the tough times, they really aren't your friend. I am very blessed to have a few friends in my life that fit into this category! Thank God for great friends!!!

Only 1 more day of work and then I am off to Kentucky! I am so excited. I will be visiting with my Dad and one of my best friends, Andrea. She and I have been friends since first grade. It would have been since kindergarten, but she was in the p.m. class and I was in the a.m. class. Our friendship has been through a lot and I just love her. We can go for a few weeks without talking and pick up right where we left off. She is loads of fun!

Also, my sister finds out what she is having tomorrow. I can't wait. I will be able to officially start shopping for the little one.

It's late and I have to get to bed. Hope everyone has a good evening and day tomorrow.

I have been tagged to write 10 random things about myself!

Here are 10 random things about myself:

1. I would LOVE to own an apartment one day in NYC for me and all my girlfriends to get away to anytime we wanted. It is my favorite city! If you've never been, you must go!

2. I ran my first marathon this year in Austin. I finished all 26.2 miles in 5 hours and 10 minutes. After doing that, I feel that I can accomplish anything if I put my mind to it!

3. Most people would think I was raised in Texas since I love big hair and lots of mascara, but I was actually raised in a small town in Kentucky.

4. I have developed a love for reading. Right now I have 4 books going...Anderson Cooper's memoir, a book called Shadow Boxing, Laura Bush's biography, and a new one called The Devil in the Junior League.

5. I think this whole having kids thing might not be such a bad idea. I am still not 100% sure. My question is are you ever 100% ready? Before I start something, I usually have to be 100% sure.

6. I want to learn to faux paint so bad!!!

7. I'm about to loose my big toenail from running. My running coach told me it would happen but I never thought it would happen to ME!

8. I love baking. I enjoy to cook, but I really love to bake. People always love baked goods.

9. I am horrible about returning phone calls. I am really trying to work on this.

10. Okay, this is huge. Only a few people know this about me...My eyeliner is tattooed permanently on my eyes!!! I have loved it. It hurt a little bit, but it was well worth it. I told my husband that I wanted eyeliner on when I crossed the finish line of the Austin Marathon. Isn't that so vain?!?!

Here are the people I tag...

Sara W.
Vida H.
Summer M.
Karina B. (don't you want a blog? This would be a perfect way to start.)

My First Blog!

I am so excited. This is my very first blog. I have been inspired by my friends (dara s., sara w.) to write about my life. I love reading other people's blogs and thought maybe someone would be interested in mine. Who knows? I guess I will see how many comments I get. Also, did you see the name of my blog? I thought that was kind of clever. I don't have much to say today...I am just so excited to have my very own blog. I feel really grown up now!
