Update from The Bluegrass State

I have had so much fun in Kentucky. My dad and I went to my hometown on Friday. It was really fun. Nothing has changed. It was like everything had been frozen in time for the last 9 years. We saw the old house and it looked great. I can't believe how little our street is. When I was a kid, I used to think it was the longest street in the world. Now, it seemed small. On Saturday, I left at 8:00am to visit one of my best friends, Andrea. We hung out all day. It was such a fun time. She is an amazing friend and I am really going to miss her. I met her boyfriend and he is great. I gave her my approval. She gets to go meet his family in New Jersey in a few weeks. I am really excited for her. We ran around town all day and laughed about old times.

Today my dad and I went to breakfast at an awesome restaurant that is always written up in Southern Living. We also went on a 2 hour walk this afternoon. We went all around downtown Louisville and to the river. They have a huge park and walking trails all down by the water. It's like town lake in Austin, but cooler. The weather was perfect.

I head back to the big city of Alpine tomorrow. I had such a good time these last few days, and I really don't want to leave. I have already planned my next trip for February. I can't wait.

Hope everyone had a great weekend. Talk with you soon!
